Carolyn works from her studio in Queanbeyan NSW. After beginning her art career as a 'commercial artist' in Melbourne retail stores in 1969, she then spent many years working in design studios, ad agencies and as a freelance illustrator/designer in New Zealand, the U.S. and Australia. Recently retired from commercial graphic design work, she now directs these skills to projects relating to sustainability, social justice and animal welfare issues.
In more recent years Carolyn has experimented with various fine art mediums and has exhibited and won awards in local galleries. Mediums include acrylic, soft pastel, pen, oil pastels, digital, relief and intaglio printmaking. Her current passion is experimenting with the combination of printmaking and other mediums.
Carolyn is the convenor of the printmaking group at Canberra Art Workshop (CAW) which meets every Monday morning from 9.30am to 12.30pm. https://canberraartworkshop.org.au/art-groups-2022/
